About Us

Marsha and Steve Sparks are the owners of Boise Bargain Basket. They are a well qualified team with many years of experience in the grocery industry.

For the past 10 years, Marsha has owned her own wholesale grocery distribution company and Steve has been an integral part of the success of this business by managing the transportation and logistics end of the business. They both have extensive knowledge of the food industry and are passionate about their businesses.

Prior to owning her own company, Marsha had over 25 years of experience in numerous management positions with national companies in procurement and category management. Prior to Steve's employment with Marsha's wholesale distribution company, he held numerous positions in the grocery industry at the retail and wholesale levels, as well as being on the management team of a startup cash & carry chain in Alaska. They bring all of their knowledge and experience to Boise Bargain Basket.

Steve's brother Kevin Sparks and Marsha's brother Rick Lowery are the store managers. Both brothers worked for SuperValu, a wholesale grocery distribution company, before joining the family owned business. Kevin has over 10 years of experience in the technological aspects of a retail grocery store. Rick has over 30 years of experience in the warehousing aspect of the grocery business, and they both bring a wealth of knowledge, experience and contacts to Boise Bargain Basket to ensure that this enterprise will be a giant success.
